considerations when buying a train horn continued.
..........First your gonna want to check out the size of the train horn kit your looking at. You want to make sure that its going to fit in your ride, not every vehicle will be able to accommodate all the different sizes of train horn kits out there. Some of the larger and louder kits on the market wont fit into a little car. Make sure to check the dimensions of the kit and the space available to you before buying your train horn kit.
Also, make sure that your kit includes all of the necessary wires and air line you need for your installation. In some installations you may need a bit more air line than whats provided with the kit. You can buy extra if you need it.
The material that was used to make your kits trumpets is also important. Your gonna find all sorts of different kits out there that include horns made of all types of materials. Make sure that your horns are metal based. i.e. Steel, zinc, or copper are all common, quality materials used for the train horn trumpets.
Your gonna find that plastic is used for the trumpets on some of the cheaper kits on the market. Notice I used the word "cheaper" and not "less expensive" . Often times you'll find that the "cheaper" kit will cost you a lot more. Do yourself a favor and stick to metal trumpets. Follow this one tip to make sure your trumpets really blast!
